Russell Talone, CFP®

Principal

Russell Talone graduated from Penn State University in 2002 as a Bachelor of Science in Finance & International Business.  In March of 2004, Russ began his career at Talone Financial Group. Previously, he worked in the investment products division of The Hartford, PLANCO.  Having helped other advisors grow their business and educate their clients, Russ grew increasingly uncomfortable with the idea that much of the industry lacked adherence to The Golden Rule- "Do to others what you want them to do to you."

Early on, Russ embraced the Fiduciary Standard with his clients, and now the industry is finally catching up.  Russ completed the Certified Financial Planner™ designation (which requires extensive training and adherence to the highest ethical and educational standards) in 2006.  Russ understands the complexities of the changing financial landscape and is committed to making financial planning recommendations in his client's best interest (www.letsmakeaplan.org).

Russ holds life, health, and variable insurance licenses for multiple states, as well as his Property and Casualty License (auto, home, & commercial) in Pennsylvania.  He is FINRA registered and holds the Series 6 and 63, and Series 7 and 65 licenses.  He is an Investment Advisor Representative which is required to conduct fee-based financial planning.

Russ is a member of The Heritage Group (www.heritagestudygroup.com), which fosters an environment for personal and professional development.  Through regular semi-annual meetings, the group binds creative, innovative, hard-working and successful financial professionals in an educational context where members broaden their perspective to better serve their clients back home.

Russ is also a member of the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council (www.mcepc-pa.org), Smeal Business Club - Philadelphia (www.phillysmeal.org), and Penn State Alumni Association.  He formerly served on the board of The Elpis Foundation (www.theelpisfoundation.org) and as a member of the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce.  A proud father of three boys, Russ is active with the Cub Scouts and local soccer programs.
